Advanced Laser Glendale Melanage Peel
What is Melange Peel?
The Melanage Peel Treatment is the most effective treatment of hyperpigmentation or pigmented blemishes. It is a superficial peel designed to improve the texture and appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by melasma and sun damage. The treatment involves applying a masque and an at-home regimen.
How does it work?
Melanage Masque is applied during an office visit where our practitioner compounds the peel at the time of dispensing to ensure its potency and reliability. You, the patient, will remove the masque after the required length of time according to your skin type. You will leave the office with the masque on your face. You are responsible for adhering to an easy-to-follow, at-home regimen involving the application of Melanage home care products.
What areas can be treated?
All skin areas can be treated.
How many treatments will I need?
One to two treatment periods is recommended and can be repeated three to four months following first treatment if necessary.
What will I experience during treatment?
Results vary but generally patients will see a significant improvement in the appearance of the pigmented areas of their skin. Dark spots will lighten and skin texture and tone will improve. Most but not all patients experience peeling skin.
What happens if my skin doesn't peel?
Don't worry if your skin doesn't peel after having a Melanage Peel. Our practitioner can assure you that you're still receiving all of the benefits of the peel including collagen stimulation, improved skin tone and texture and reduced fine lines and improved pigmentation.
Does the Melanage Peel work on all skin types?
Unlike all other lasers, the Melanage peel works on all skin types including darker skin. Prior to the Melanage Peel, darker skin did not respond well to peels and lasers. This is a breakthrough for dark-skinned people who have waited until now for a peel that works optimally on their skin.
