Advanced Laser Clinics Hair Removal System
How does Laser Hair Removal work?
Laser Hair Removal is a faster, gentler way to remove unwanted
hair, with great results. It applies precisely controlled
pulses of energy (electrical and light, with cooling), reaching
into the hair follicles that lie beneath the skin. The energy
heats the hair, right down to the bottom of the root, destroying
it without damaging surrounding tissue or skin.
What does it
feel like?
Each pulse, which lasts less than a second, produces a slight
tingling feeling. In particularly sensitive areas, such as
the upper lip, it may feel like a quick, light pinch.
Is it suitable
for everyone?
At Advanced Laser Clinics we customize the treatment to exactly
match your hair and skin color and type. As long as there
is some color in your hair (even blond hair has enough color),
then our system will be effective.
What about
side effects?
The technologies used by Advanced Laser Clinics are commonly used in a range of
medical and cosmetic procedures that are proven to be safe. Most people experience
no side effects at all, though few exhibit some short-term local reddening of the
surrounding skin. You can return to your regular activities almost immediately
after treatment, although it is advisable to keep the skin protected from exposure
to direct sunlight.
How many treatments will I need
Our technology destroys hairs that are in the active growth phase, so repeat treatments will be
needed to target hair that was not affected at the time of previous treatments. Normally
five treatments are recommended to get the optimum results.

What results
can I expect?
At Advanced Laser Clinics we customize the treatment to match your hair and skin color and type.

Microdermabrasion
What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a scientific method, using fine, inert
(micro) crystals to progressively abrade the skin's surface.
It is used for skin resurfacing and treating a range of skin
abnormalities. This treatment has been used in Europe for
years; now this exciting procedure is helping men and women
in the United States experience remarkable improvements in
their skin texture, regardless of skin color. With our Microdermabrasion
skin treatment program, you can see immediate improvements
in your skin's appearance. This unique approach removes dead
and flaking skin cells and stimulates the production of fresh,
young skin cells and collagen.
What results
can I expect?
Depending on the area treated, you will notice an improvement
in your skin's appearance. Stretch marks and acne scars will
be less obvious. Age spots and fine lines are reduced, and
many patients report that their skin seems softer, tighter,
smoother and younger looking.
What are Microdermabrasion
treatments like?
Micro-crystals are vacuumed through a hand piece, which is held at a precise
angle to the skin, producing a skin-polishing peel. In as little as 20 - 30
minutes, this gentle abrasive technique efficiently produces satisfying results.
Treatments are applied through a course of weekly sessions. Microdermabrasion
enhances the skin's condition by stimulating collagen production and combating
the signs of aging skin. Most importantly, it is safe to use on all skin types
and colors.
How soon will
I see results?
After your first treatment, your skin will have a fresh, pink
glow and smoother texture. Improvements continue throughout
your treatment program. The number of treatments recommended
for maximum results ranges from five to 16 treatments.

FotoFacial™
About FotoFacial™ Treatments
FotoFacial™ Treatments are full face and/or chest treatments using pulses of visible light
that effectively improve facial redness and flushing as well as the visible signs of sun
damage and aging. FotoFacial™ Treatments were developed and first introduced by Board-certified
dermatologist, Patrick Bitter Jr. MD as a non-invasive method of photorejuvenation to improve
the appearance of the skin with no downtime. A non-laser medical device is used to deliver
a series of gentle pulses of light to the skin. Specific settings are selected for each
treatment for optimal results. A series of five or more treatments are performed at three-week intervals.
The benefits of FotoFacial™ Treatments
The benefits of FotoFacial™ Treatments are consistent, visible improvement
in the skin with no downtime, little discomfort and minimal risk. With FotoFacial™
Treatments the embarrassing redness and flushing of rosacea can be greatly reduced
and sun damaged, aging skin can be dramatically improved.
What are the indications for FotoFacial™ Treatments?
FotoFacial™ Treatments are beneficial in the treatment of the following:
° Treatments effectively reduce redness and flushing.
° Sun damage (Photo-aging).
° Treatments reduce fine wrinkling, freckling and irregular pigmentation.
° Treatments smooth skin and reduce pores.
° Treatments reduce irregular pigment and even skin tone.
° Rosacea - FotoFacial™ Treatments reduce the overall redness, flushing and dilated capillaries and may
improve the breakouts of this common chronic facial condition.
What are the advantages of FotoFacial™ Treatments over
chemical peels and micro-dermabrasion?
Chemical peels, laser resurfacing and micro-dermabrasion (e.g. Power Peels) are ineffective in
reducing redness and flushing or dilated capillaries. Prior to FotoFacial™ Treatments there was
no effective treatment for flushing or facial and neck redness. With FotoFacial™ Treatments there
is little discomfort and almost no downtime or disruptions of normal activities. The end result
of FotoFacial™ Treatments is smoother, healthier and younger-appearing skin. FotoFacial™ Treatments
can also be used in conjunction with chemical peeling or micro-dermabrasion to enhance the
results of these procedures.
What areas can be treated?
FotoFacial™ Treatments can be used on any part of the skin. They are especially effective
for improving the appearance of the face, neck and chest.
What results can I expect?
You can expect to see a gradual decrease in overall redness, flushing and dilated capillaries.
People with visible aging from the sun can expect to see their skin become smoother with a
decrease in fine wrinkles, reduction in pore size and fading of sun spots. Many people with
rosacea see an improvement in breakouts and are able to decrease or discontinue their medications.
What is a FotoFacial™ Treatment like?
Each treatment takes approximately 30 minutes. A mild amount of discomfort can be expected.
Many patients prefer to use a topical anesthetic cream available at our office. There is
no discomfort after treatments. Immediately following a treatment, the skin may appear red
and flushed and tiny capillaries may appear more visible. Brown spots generally appear
darker. All of these changes gradually fade over a period of hours to a few days
back to top^
How soon will I see results?
After your first treatment, your skin will feel smoother and will have a more even tone.
These improvements are gradual and will be more visible after each treatment. Five treatments
are performed for optimal results. Some patients will benefit from additional treatments
back to top^

What is the Melanage Peel Treatment?
It is a superficial peel designed to improve the texture and appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by
melasma and sun damage.
How does it work?
Melanage Masque is applied during an office visit where our practitioner compounds the peel at the
time of dispensing to ensure its potency and reliability. You, the patient, remove the masque after
the required length of time according to your skin type.
What areas can be treated?
All skin areas can be treated.
How many treatments will I need?
One to two treatment periods is recommended and can be repeated three to four months
following first treatment if necessary.
What will I experience during treatment?
The application of Melanage Masque takes approximately one hour. Our practitioner applies a
uniform layer of Melanage. No discomfort is experienced and our patients describe the procedure as
soothing and relaxing. It is recommended your hair is tied back away from face to avoid getting product
in it. The masque will remain on the face for 5 to 10 hours according to your skin type. The rest of
the treatment will continue at home and will involve weekly follow-up visits for one month.
What results can I expect?
Results vary but generally patients will see a significant improvement in the appearance of
the pigmented areas of their skin. Dark spots will lighten and skin texture and tone will improve.
Most but not all patients experience peeling skin.
What happens if my skin doesn't peel?
Don't worry if your skin doesn't peel after having a Melanage Peel. Our practitioner can assure
you that you're still receiving all of the benefits of the peel including collagen stimulation, improved
skin tone and texture and reduced fine lines and improved pigmentation.
Does the Melanage Peel work on all skin types?
Unlike all other lasers, the Melanage peel works on all skin types including darker skin. Prior
to the Melanage Peel, darker skin did not respond well to peels and lasers. This is a breakthrough for dark-
skinned people who have waited until now for a peel that works optimally on their skin.
